What do you mean by assembly drawings?

Thanks

Re: Assembly Drawings

Hi,

It is basically giving instructions like component mounting restrictions, polarity for diodes, transformer mounting, mounting holes void area etc, check this site out it will give you some idea,

Assembly Drawings

Its a pdf format file have details like component ref desginator, component outline.& component mounting layer

Re: Assembly Drawings

Its almost like Silkscreen detail ..will give u an idea about polarity for diodes, electolytic capacitors, transformer mounting positions, mounting holes location
for Assembly Drawings we will place first pin indication od ICs and even pin number of some critical fixed or glued components........

Give as much as idea in Assembly Drawings to make the process easy and error free

Re: Assembly Drawings

Assembly Drawing - Should one be talking about the PCB itself, then this will be stuffing all the components on the board, both sides as required. If we are talking about hierarchical assembly, the PCB then will be as one item and probably be then assembled to a faceplate as another item with screws and nuts as separate items.
Any hardware added to this assembly will be all itemized and be as part of the BOM for the Assembly Drawing (hierarchy)

Assembly Drawings

Thanks ...can anybody show me a sample (picture) of Assembly layer/Drawing?

Re: Assembly Drawings

Hi,

In my previous mail, i have posted a link which clears your doubt, check that link again,

https://www.unisoft-cim.com/pcbview.htm

check the link,go through it completely, you see call out(captions),this is how it looks after ur done with ur assembly drawing, which will guide you in step by step assembly process.

The task will be similar to silk screen( legend print),but then you need to place the reference designator inside the component outline, please refer the link above,in addition to that, they also give some instructions(captions),like which component to mount first, consequently letting them to entire assembly process, for eg,

1) Place all the smd resistors.

2) Place all the smd capacitors.

3) place all the smd diode and so on,it just easing the assembly process, but then you need to forsee, you can take guidance from the assembler,he might guide you in entire procees, all the best.

Hope you understood and helped.

Regards

Ramesh
