Does anyone have good idea on how to convert a Cadstar pcb file to P*tel 98 SE pcb file. I ran out of ideas. Thanks for any help.

HI

i dont think its possible with cadstar directly.
you need to go for a third party converter.

you can try the following link.

hi
have u checked all the file types which protel can accept? i think protel should be able to support dxf format, as it is the general format between ECAD packages.
cheers

It may do but what you get in will be pretty well unusable and very unintelligent.

IMHo if you want to be able to make changes etc you would be better off starting again.

Is it a big complicated multi layer board or a small interface sort?

Roland.

logicswap?pulsonix?or pads translators?
they can import cadstar fils, and export edif full
GUI format.
But the importantly, they all need license expect
pads translators what need supernet
