ring oscillator tutorial

Why is that single ended Oscillator uses odd stages while in Diff Oscillator we can use even stages? Or am I right about this?

ring oscillator prime number

i think there is no relation between stages and form of ring oscillator. maybe diff oscillator is more common in circuit design.everyone know frequency of vco decrease with increase of stages.ring oscillator stages? it's up to your need!

number of stages in ring oscillator

For oscillator is only important positive loop phase. With single ended you can make it only by taking odd numbers of inverters. In the case of differential, you have possibility to reverse inputs of next stage or not which means that you can easily make positive phase with even or odd numbers.

stagesl ring oscillator

For ring oscillator it is better to use prime number of stages, i.e. N = 3,5,7,11,13...

ring oscillator stages

prime number of stages???? why? I have no idea. do explain in more detail.

stage of ring oscillator

the stage depend on the feedback phase

prime ring oscillator

Pixel is right. If you want to you can see Razavi book. It is very clearly explained.
