difference between AT89c52 and AT89s52 microcontrollers?

The 89C51 and 89C52 are not In System Reprogrammable as stated by silvio. 89S51 and 89S52 are In System Reprogrammable.

Hi,
AT89s52 is "In-System" programable, u can program simply with your PC, whereas AT89c52 is programmed with the programmer.

difference between 8051 and at89s52

2 minutes looking into datasheets of both, the differences are summarised on the very first page (where else would you expect them?):

• Interrupt Recovery from Power-down Mode
• Watchdog Timer
• Dual Data Pointer
• Power-off Flag

+ the AT89S52 has a 33MHz option.

There are a few more differences, of course, in the very details.

at89s52 vs at89c52

The base difference b/w S52 and C52 as Ian and Sawaak said is the S52 supports insustem programmin as C52 does not and there is another differce which i found was that whrn makin a programmer for C52 u will need a 12 V power supply where as for a programmer for S52 u just need 5 V power supply.

The 8051 structure of AT89c52 and AT89s52 are the same,but the type of flash
is different,for AT89c52:
VPP = 12V VPP = 5V
Top-side Mark AT89C52 AT89C52

for AT89s52:eek:nly 12v can be selected !
