Hi guys,

I have a question about layout of the saw duplexer. I am using epcos saw duplexer for cellular (PCS for example) and I don't know how to make a layout for it.

Do anybody have any experience in this I will appreciate...

Regards
David

Hi,

I attach my guess about how to put SAW Duplexer on Pcb.
Please if some one Know how to do it...
I NEED A CLUE!!!

The layout seems to be fine but add some vias under the case to connect ground of the SAW filter.Add at least 6-8 small vias under the package..( if you're using double or multiple layer PCB)
In addition to, increase just a little bit the copper pour pattern around input and output pads to prevent the parallel capacitors which aren't wanted..

Hi,

Tnx for repplying,
I am using double layer only. Under component I remove the gnd to "separate"
ground.
Stomatch of the device without gnd!!!

If your frequency is NOT too high, it's not neccesary to separate the ground to obtain a independent ground pattern. But it's an idea to seperate the "grounds". But if you ground connections are not very established, you'll some small indcutances on common mode way and obviously some RF signals may disturb in common mode..

Hi again,:D

Freq that I am work are between: 800-2300MH.

Therefore I deceided to seperate like attach below.
I think that layout will be more correct.

Hi DDavid,

the post is quite old.... did you solve your problem or do you still need some advice?
