dft/dfm

I’m looking for a tool to track PCB DFT/DFM requests that we get from our board fabrication and assembly houses (something beyond Excel). Does anyone currently have such a tool that they use and recommend (Or steer me away from).
 

dfm expedition

U can try bugzilla for doing this job.
but u have to Customize bugzilla for this..
 

mentor graphics pcb dfm dft tools

Several of the high end PCB tools is about to launch support for what you are asking. Mentor Graphics (Expedition) will do this. Cadence (Allegro) too. Thus you can enter your DFM requirements directly into the tool's constraint set-up.

Which tool in the Expedition series are you talking about?
 

I attended a presentation of Mentor Graphics tools, where the DFT/DFM functionality was mentioned to be introduced when the WG2005 Expedition series was released. I heard that it was supposed to be released sometime October, 2005. If this functionality is to be included in the high end too "Pinnacle" only, I do not know.

I have Pinnacle, so I guess I need to wait and see what happens in a couple of weeks, but I don't remember anything like this in the roadmap. I wonder if maybe it is part of the new Fablink XE Pro? Of coarse, I don't have a copy of that yet :(
