is there any way by which Atmel® AVR ISP In-System Programmer can be used to program Pics mcu
can it be used for example "with icprog" as jtag programmer?

Jack// ani

would u elaborate?
so we can learn from u

Salam,

I think u can but only with parallel programers because u will need the 14 volt for your MSCL (master clear in PIC), I think there is something like that already but i think the time you would spend searching for that can make u programmers for both PIC & AVR

Hope that it helps

Wa Alicom Salam
for ICSP you need only 5 volts not 14 v
I was trying to make use of my AVR In circuit serial programmer to program PICs that have ISP capapilities by using other software
The problem I don't have much knowledge about the programmer hardware&firmware

their pin can be compatible each other.
