Hi,

I am working on a project and I need to generate a very tiny and minuscule hydraulic electricity generator.

I have not finalised it yet but I am looking to make something with following dimension: length=15mm to 20mm. Width=5 to7 mm and height=3mm to 6mm

Is there any of the shelf micro electricity-generator out there? If not, is it possible to home built one? How should I go about this?

thanks

Although the form factor looks demanding an far from a hobby project, would you mind to complete the specification with power and hydraulic drive media parameters?

thanks for the reply. I dont have any fixed specifications but I was hoping to extract/generate around 1mW to 5mW from a flow of water. But anything counts as long as some power is generated. the water flows through a tube with around 4cm diameter.

Hi,

Water pressure or height difference?

Klaus

Put a minuscule propeller on the shaft of a cell phone vibrator motor. The generation power will depend on water mass flow speed.

Hobby shops should have these for your pipe size:

to basically utilize the energy from flow of water. water/liquid flow will rotate the turbine and that will result in production of electricity.

Some flow meters work as brushless generators of
a sort. One sized for standard tubing diameters
might fit the bill.
