Hi,

I have a PCB which is made of: 1 core and 2 pre-pregs.

Does anybody know the steps for manufacturing this 6-layer PCB?

Thanks,
Enrico Migliore

A standard 6-layer stack is using 2 cores. Single core would be used in a sequential process for buried vias.

Manufacturing steps for standard 6-layer are

- etch both (double side) core substrates
- assemble, press and cure complete stack (copper foil - prepreg - core - prepreg -core - prepreg -copper foil)
- drill
- through-plate
- etch outer layers
