I am currently working on a circuit on Cadence I have built all the cells and made the extracted views of each one and simulated it , however when I tried to make the extracted view of the whole circuit, I have lost all the cells of my library, there are only some laout related files showing up instead ( something like metal2 ...)
I dunno what to do and this is my end-of-course project that I have to deliver in one week ( I've been working on it since MARCH);
Pleaaaaaaaaaaase help!!

Did you lose all views or only layouts?
Didn't you have any backup?

I lost all the cells, schematics , symbols and layout and I do unfortunately not have a backup on my server ( all the files were on the server)!!

Do you not see this files from simple file manager too?
Maybe you simple remove it to other location, try to find it.

If it doesn't help, try to find good recovery soft...

Can you advise me on a recovery soft ?
thank u in advance

R-Studio
You can download demo from offial site, but it can recover files smaller than 64 KB

Demo Mode allows you to evaluate R-Studio for Linux for free. R-Studio Demo Mode is limited to files smaller than 64 KB in Demo Mode. You can, however, preview supported files that are larger than 64 KB by double-clicking it. This allows you to predict your chances for successful recovery before purchasing an R-Studio for Linux license.

thank u very much; Ill try with that :)

It would take some pretty major screwup on your part
for low level data to be destroyed, presuming it was
saved.

Begin with looking at your library path and where the
data resides, or used to.

In the extracted view, you should find no hierarchy.
Top level extracted is all flat data. The layout view
however should remain as-was. I'm wondering whether
this is just a problem of misplaced expectations.
