fly back transformer for asymmetrical wave form

i have attatched the circuit on which im working and the driver circuit used ..to make the fly back transformer work in 2mhz n produce 2000v aymmetrical waveform i dun no what specification to be included and in the driver side i changed the value of resistance and capacitance to change the 555 timers operating freq..pls help me out

Re: fly back transformer for asymmetrical wave form

Hello mtijijoy!

First you rig up the circuit on a breadboard[only the 555 based driver part which is configured as an astable multivibrator].

If you have access to an oscilloscope the observe the waveform at pin 3[output of 555].
You must get a rectangular wave.

Otherwise connect an LED with suitable current limiting resistor and see that it glows.

Later you can try out by connecting the flyback transformer.

You also have to find the low voltage and high voltage windings of the flyback transformer.

The PWM input is given to the LV winding and the spark is obtained across the HV winding which is connected to a suitably placed spark gap.
