How does the circuit in the picture?
precisely when the switches Q1?

May be RF stabilisation or power feedback network, the two doides junction in secondary winding provides the bias to Q1 and feedback level is controlled by pot.Qi conduct continously as long as sufficient signal on tx primary and based on pot setting, I didnt found any problem in diodes connection.
