hi all,

i have a crystal 60 MHZ and i want to model the crystal in a crystal oscillator, i have the circuit diagram but i dont know the values i need it for C1,C2,Rs,Rf for a 60 MHZ crystal , also what is the number for the inverter IC.

Hi,for the inverter, you can use CD4069,C1=15pfC2=15pf and Rf=100k or you can simply use variable resistor.

thanx man but iam using 7404 inverter, i calculated the values C1=33pf , C2=33pf ,
R1=80 Ω but i dont know what is the proper value for Rf ??

HI , may i i know how to calculate C1 and C2??how u get the values?Urgent!thank u!

Determined by crystal parallel load capacitance spec and feedback ratio needed based on desired loop gain. Roughly, series combination equals required crystal load capacitance. Don't forget any PCB layout stray capacitance contributions.
