The Detector required Fire Alarm Panel to Work.Do you have Panel??

no i dont have panel
my project is :
i want to read digital or analog voltage from detector by DAQmx by LABVIEW
(make the output voltage of detector as input of labview program)
 

The series 60 optical smoke detector Works on DC Voltage from 17V- 28V and Quiescent Current at 24V is 45μA.When the smoke enters the Detector the Detector will go in to Alarm State and the Current increase to approximately 50ma at 24Volt. the alarm state will be latched until the power recycled.
by checking the current consumption of the detector you can say detector in normal state or in alarm state.
use resistor to sense the current consumption of detector

Detector base Connection +24V------------------>L1in
-0V----->Resistor----->L2

i understand from you
the detector when latch the output voltage remain constant as 24v but the current will be change
detector no latch >> output 24v and 45uA
but when detector latch >> output 24v and 50mA
yes ??

when initial no smoke inside the detector the detector in the sensing mode ----- current is 45uA

once the sufficient smoke enters in to the detector the detector go in to alarm state then the------ current is 50ma

once the detector goes into the alarm state the detector remain in alarm state even the smoke cleared inside the detector until power recycled

yes i know that the detector remain in alarm state after alarm state done
nice , now i full understand how i can use the smoke detector
