Hi All,

I have to replace a component in PCB to othar that have less pins than original part.
But, if I try EDIT DECAL, im blocked, warned about difference between pinout.
By other way, if I remove component, the routed tracks ( more than 120 ) are unrouted.

How can I turn around ?

Thanks in advance !

Normally u can move w/o unroute. for edit decal u can't delete pin but u can set pad stack as zero for unuse pin. if u delete original part it's unroute trace. try again change component in ECO mode

Hi aey,

This procedure seems that will work. I will test and report here the result.
Thanks very much.

Hi, the best practice is to use a new netlist with changes, in ECO mode.

Otherwise you can delete a old part then you add a new. But in this case you delete and add connections manually, not recommended for complicate board.

If you edit a decal in pcb layout, you cannot delete a pin and cannot swap pin numbers, you can only move pin coordinates.

Best.
