Oscillator using AD549

Hello,

I am trying to build a oscillator circuit using AD549 and so far it has not been successful. I tried connecting a voltage divider at the non-inverting end and a resistor-capacitor at the inverting end. I have also tried connecting a resistor-capacitor pair at either ends to trigger some oscillations.

Could someone help me on how to get a oscillation going sing AD549s. I am targeting a frequency range of around 1MHz and I am not very particular on the type of the oscillator circuit and guess even something like a relaxation oscillator should be good enough.

The AD549 has a minimum suplly voltage of ±5V (or 10V single). What is the suplly voltage you are using? Furthermore, it has not sufficient bandwidth to oscillate at 1MHz.

I am using a +_ 5V supply for this.
By saying 1MHz is not sufficient BW, I dont quite understand it. How can we see this measure?

Please take a look at the datasheet. The unity gain bandwith is specified to be from 0.7 to 1MHz only and the full power response is 50kHz only. To oscillate at 1MHz you need a minimum unit gain bandwidth of 1MHz (more than this in a practical circuit) and also full swing at this freq. To see if your circuit is working try to step down the freq. to 10kHz. If it works substitue the op-amp by a faster one and rescale the components to 1MHz. If the output voltage swing is of no importance I think a TL071 will do the job.
