Hello everyone,
My project is in a dire situation after having realised that I forgot to place tracks for the SDA and SCL pins(ATmega128) on my 4-layer board. Is there a possibility of implementing SDA and SCL with the TI TMP-275 serial o/p temperature sensor using normal port pins? Please post any reference(or probably the code).

yes, you can assign any pin as sda or scl and use software bit banging

Regards
Nandhu

In order to simulate the open collector nature of sda/scl you will need to bit-bang the *direction* bits, not the *port* bits.

Could you please suggest some material that I could refer for the same.
Thank you
Sriram

I suggest u should master the IIC protocol first if the IC used this. The general IO can simulate this protocol. If u need the sample code, mail me:noley@21cn.com.
