Hello,

I have designed a small antenna for WLAN, for my project it is very important to fabricate this antenna and to compare the measurment and the simulation.

i used HFSS V.11.1, So what is the next point to start the fabrication?

how can i layout the circuit for this design from the HFSS software?

Please your help really will be appreciated

Thank you all

Hai, I'm suffer to complete my proposal regarding microstrip antenna point to multi point communication. Any advise or sugesstion?. Any body know available software for simulate purpose. Tq.:cry::cry::cry:

To Tot:
Since you know the dimension of your patch.
you can draw that in Autocad & give that file to PCB manufacturer.

To Heri:
You can download trial version of FEKO.
You can simulate Patch antennas in evaluation version

Thank you,

What about the design specifications?

Why some people use different way to fabricate the antenna? is fabrications really big deal or not very diffecult step ?

"What about the design specifications?"
WHat do you mean by that?
I thought you have designed & simulated the patch according to your specs.
Offcource you can make patch by different ways, but you need to decide according to your requirements, space available/mounting considerations etc.

Also Fabricating a patch is not a big deal.
If you are using Aluminium substrate then you may have to take some efforts.
But go for rogers or Fr4 etc.
since you are begineer

Hi Tot,

You can export your design to *dxf file (the extension that Autocad use) and import it in another tool (for example MWO) and export from there either the gerber file or pdf file (depending on how you will make the masks). Thanks.

Best Regards,
Mshafee

is there any other way to make the layout . i dont have MWO

i only have HFSS software

You have get your hands on some other CAD software other than HFSS.

I usually export a dxf file from HFSS and open it in ADS and generate a gerber file from there.
