Allegro 14.2 error: cannot open file, env path is incorrect?

Allegro 14.2 problem

I recently experiencing problems with Allegro 14.2. When I try to start the software it gives a message:

"Cannot open message file, env path is possibly set incorrectly.

critical variables not set in the env file, ...."

I have PCBENV folder and I copied env file into C:\Cadence\PSD_14.2\share\pcb\text but still gives the same message any idea??

It used to work poroperly.

In your case, I think the env file has problem. You can use the Notepad to open the env file and find out. It may have something not right in there. Keep in mind that, you can use the Notepad to edit the env file only NOT wordpad.

Do not move the PCBENV folder

Move the env file to C:\, and try it again!

You should set the Home variable path of system's enironmental variable to the path where you have your pcbenv folder
