Hi everybody,

Shrinking feature size has lead to the appearence of indesireble phenomena such as noise, delays, leakage and Crosstalk in SoCs/NoCs.
However I found also while reading the terms Interference and Coupling.
Please can anybody tell me what is the difference between Crosstalk, Interference and Coupling phenomena.
Please elaborate you reply and if possible upload related materials.

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
Master_PicEngineer.

Dear Dude,

Cross talk is an SI issue, occurs due to placement of wires close to each , like sharing((like mingling or crossing the potential charge) the charge b/w two wires, becos of formation of (like coupling)coupling capacitor b/w these wires . because of this there will be a disturbance or affect called as interference b/w these wires which leads to Timing error, logic error and too glitch which is a short duration pulse

Simply becos of cross talk there will be interference due to coupling.

Hope i have explained

Phutane
