How to calculate throughput for buffer

Hi,

This is Teja. Please help me to find throughput for buffer.
for example buffer consists of 8-stage inverter. the frequency of the input is 1GHz and the delay of buffer is 200ps. from this data how we can calculate the throughput of buffer. and also give the difference between bandwidth and throughput for digital circuits.

Please hep me
