Dear frinds
is any Microcontroller working with 12V DC ?.

12v microcontroller

microcontrollers are working in 3-5v normaly. microchip is having a HV version in that the power pin can be connected with a resistor.

12v operating microcontroller

Why 12V?

You can run the µC with the common 3.3-5V using external components to interface with 12V sections.

It's for automobile use?

microcontroller + 12v

RCA 1802 is probably the last microprocessor, that has used higher supply voltages than 5 V.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_1802 You'll find it in computer museums and still at some distributors for ancient electronic parts.

12V Microcontroller

I know of no-one making 12v micro's.

The point of micro's going to lower voltages is that as circuit density rises in the core, power dissipation becomes a problem. P=VI, so a 12v micro would create 4x the heat of a 3.3v everything else equal, you would also need non standard voltage interface chips.

Use the 12v to supply a standard micro with 5v/3.3v and use standard interface chips to translate inputs and outputs. I'd use opto isolated inputs and outputs if its in a noisy environment.

Re: 12V Microcontroller

its not only power dissipation, but also the speed makes the manufactures to go lower voltages as it takes little time to switch between the logic levels...
but you stil can use standart uCons with ur 12V level components with proper techniques..
