hi i am trying to automate a manual lathe machine (converting into CNC)
i have to remove the manual rotating parts and place motors
the main spindle motor will be a servo motor and the rest will be stepper motors
but i didn't konw how to calculate the torque required to move those parts can anyone plzz help me...

the lathe machine i ve purchased is C0620 thats all i konw about it..!!!

plzz help me..!!

Which parts do you need to calculate the torques for?
Do you mean the motors that you are going to move?
On hobby servos (not the same as industrial servos), the torque is written on the side.
Though I'm thinking that if it was, you wouldn't be asking!

For the motor torque, you can call the manufacturer of the CNC machine, or search for a datasheet on the motor itself.

Or do you mean you need to calculate the torque needed to size the motors?

This forum might help you :
