Hi Guys
I want to write some numbers on the PCB board like A, B,C. I added those letters by hands with silk layer. However, everytime I run ulp silk and silk_gen scripts, those letter will be removed and my final submission file will not have those letters. Does anyone have some suggestions how to get those letters on my final submission file?
Thanks a lot

Is there other ways ? Also what kind software can edit it?
Thanks

Provided you put the letters on the correct layer they will appear with other items on the same layer. Which layer have you used?

I use layer 121 silk, I just put a letter on the board. But after I ran silk_gen ulp script, it is gone.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I assume you mean layer 21 not 121? I don't know what the ULP you are referring to does - I will look when I am at work later as it sounds like that is the problem. It may extract layers 23 or 25. Normally I would just write text to layer 21 and generate the Gerber files for production. You can also write in the copper layers as well.

I think your problem is to do with the ULP (and using layer 121). Normal silk screen is on layer 21 for the top and layer 27 for the top values. The silk.ulp is for making a wider silk screen. Do you really need to do that? If so, the ulp uses layers 21 and 22 and makes a wider copy in layers 121 and 122. So, put your lettering on layer 21. After running silk.ulp you should then see a wider copy on layer 121, along with the rest of your silk screen.

Hi Keith
You are really awesome. It is exactly what you described.
Thank you so much
