Full duplex ethernet is called Collision free network ?

standard ethernet collision free

Hi,
I am stuck with a doubt reagrding Full Duplex Ethernet.
Why do Full duplex ethernet is called Collision free network.

"Full duplex transmission is functionally much simpler than half-duplex
transmission because it involves no media contention, no collisions, no need to schedule retransmissions" ---- Ethernet Basics CISCO

what happens if two different ethernet controller try to transmit data at same time.
please give an appropriate solution

Hello,
In full duplex mode two machines are connected to each other directly. The tx of mc1 is connected to rx of mc2 and the rx of mc1 is connected to tx of mc2.
One NIC (network interface card) can have multiple ethernet ports. one port means one tx and one rx. So in terms of ports, one port is connected to another port. it is one to one connectivity. so both these ports can transmit and receive simultaneously. XGMAC(10 gig mac) is defined for full duplex mode only.
