Hi, im new to PCB design. Just so I can come up to speed
quick and not make any newbie mistakes, can I ask you guys
a few questions?

1. What was your biggest 3 mistakes designing and why?
2. most popular software that you use and why
3. Biggest 3 frustrations about PCB design?
4. Biggest 3 fears (maybe related to PCB Assembly)?

Re: PCB design

Tell us what type of pcb u want to design. Be specific or u will not get any answer.

Re: PCB design

Hi,

Mistakes do happen in the design iteration, but then that doesn't stop us from designing next board, its just a stepping stone and to correct ourself henceforth.

Honestly, every one of us would have done mistakes & had frustations at some point of time designing pcb, that is day to day life in our career, but then how one can discuss that in a forum?

Moreover,you have asking 3 mistakes,3 frustations and 3 fears,why 3?

is it 3 your lucky number:D

Have fun......

Regards

Ramesh

i want to keep warmhearted to this work ,you too

Re: PCB design

>>What was your biggest 3 mistakes designing and why? every thing u do for today's technology is a mistake when u look at it with tomorrow's knowledge. biggest mistake is not looking at tomorrow :)

>>most popular software that you use and why it is not popular because i used it. it popular so i used it...
normally this is set by ur company policy, customer etc... so u dont have to bother much... some thing from mentor, cadence, ansoft will work and they are equally good... mentor has different PDB tools... it is ur company that decide it...

>>Biggest 3 frustrations about PCB design? u dont have to have frustration for being in PCB design... such a great field... but in india guy who works something on this area are paid less comparitively...

>>Biggest 3 fears (maybe related to PCB Assembly)?
what u thought is not what designed...
what designed is not what fabricated...
what fabricated is not what assembled...
what assembled is not what tested...
iteration lead to a huge budget... less pay to engineers...

PCB design

The biggest mistake is...fab your first PCB in another pcb shop other than ezpcb

Re: PCB design

This question is spam!!! I've seen it on 4 other EDA boards. You may also see a similar posting regarding assembly.

My dear fellow,

If you're not sure of what to reply, there's no need to send an answer like this.

May I ask you what bothers you if we're posting it in other forums?

If you can reply to our posts like Mr. Rame, please do so, but if not, please dont waste our time with such childish & immature replies.

In fact, you are a bogus to place such a message (declaring us as spam) without knowing what is what.

We have received different types of answers for our queries, in different forums. Everybody's answer was very encouraging and nobody had a negative approach like you, just because you didn't know the answer.

Forums are meant to be used like this. You cant expect every person on earth to be part of this one single forum, and you cant expect every individual in a forum to reply with a good answer to one's thread.

You must either be new, or dont know how to help others, or (more) probably you dont know the answer.

Kindly stop poking your nose into issues irrelevent to your area, as you're unfit to reply properly.

Whoever posts threads in a forum wants to learn more. However, there are certain exceptions like you who dont know the answer, or simply like to waste time by posting rubbish.

Warm Regards :D
