'Annotate' in Orcad Capture, what is it for?

It is using for part number renumbering.
If you make many changes in schematic:
Annotate->Packaging->"Reset part references to "?""

After this:
Annotate->Packaging->"Incremental reference update"

And now you have updated part reference numbers from upper, left schematics page corner.
