A tunnel diode is a semiconductor with a negative resistance region that results in very fast switching speeds , up to 5 GHz. The operation depends upon a quantum mechanic principle known as "tunneling" wherein the intrinsic voltage barrier (0.3 Volt for Germanium junctions) is reduced due to...

and mixed signal is the desgin where the 2 domains(analogue and digital)meet
Re: difference2
The main differences between a latch and a flip-flop are that the first are level triggered and the latter are edge triggered and that a latch does not have a clock signal, whereas a flip-flop always does.
Re: please help
Microcontroller features
•On-chip peripherals
••Timers, analog-digital converters, serial communication, etc.
••Tightly integrated for programmer, typically part of register space
•On-chip program and data memory
•Direct programmer access to many of the chip’s pins...
Re: VHDL/Verilog
VHDL and Verilog are languages for hardware design.
VHDL is ADA based and Verilog is C based language.
Some people find that Verilog is easier to learn, others find VHDL is more
powerful.
Re: doppler
The Doppler effect, named after Christian Andreas Doppler(electronics_kumar wasn't wrong :) )

Re: Eavesdropping fiber ..?
hi rat_race
as far as i know that fiber is immune to electronic eavesdropping. but regarding that the military have done it, i think that every thing is possible nowadays :).

good luck
leakage current is uncontrolled ("parasitic") current flowing across region(s) of semiconductor structure/device in which no current should be flowing; e.g. current flowing across the gate oxide in MOS structure.
