What is a Convex Mixed Integer Non Linear Program

I have a basic doubt i.e. What do we mean by a convex mixed integer non linear program? Does it mean that the continuous relaxation of integer variables in MINLP results in a convex optimization problem or We have a Convex optimization problem for each feasible realization of the integer...

    doubt in Equal gain Combining

Hi I am working on equal gain combining. In general, the fading channel is represented as h = r*exp(j*theta). The equal gain combiner multiplies the received copies at different antennas by exp(-j*theta), and then adds them all (addition of SNR at each branch). You can see that for EGC we do...

How to prove a function of multiple variables is increasing

How do I prove that a function of multiple variables e.g. f(x1,x2,x3,....,xn) is non decreasing. For single variable we prove that the first derivative is > 0, How do I do it for multiple variables? Check for non negativity of partial derivatives. thanks

Why OQPSK is better than QPSK?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase-shift_keying#Offset_QPSK_.28OQPSK.29 see above basically you dont want a 180 degree phase shift which is possible in QPSK (e.g 11->00) but the number of bit transitions are also increased in O-QPSK though they are 90 degree transitions which is fine

[SOLVED] who can help me? how can I learn cooperative communication

Re: who can help me? how can I learn cooperative communicati One confusion: In cooperative setup this is is assumed that: First the transmitter transmits and relay and the destination receives Second only relay transmits My question: why next time only relay transmits, why not both the...
