    if you hav a prototype of the antenna try using a folded d antenna or an antenna tuned to the frequency that you want to receve and buy or biuld a simple sine wave generator at that frequency to tranmitt a signal and use an ocilliscope ,if avalible, to monitor it steve

    signal to noise or carier to noise in terrestrial tv broadcast and most other broadcast's is just a mesurment in dbm between the noise floor and the signal level eg: a signal level of 75 dbm ( optimum signal for terrestrial tv at the outlet ) has C/N or S/N of 45.8 dbm therfore the noise floor...

    try using an 8 ohm to 600 ohm audio transformer. the audio output may be a little noisy but may work. just an idea steve
