Re: Reciprocity of Antennas? Always? Some considerations t.b
.. half of the energy is reradiated ? I guess this is a missunderstanding.
Half of what energy? The plane wave keeps ideally unlimited energy,
and if the antenna is perfectly matched to the receiver network, why
should half be...
Re: Reciprocity of Antennas? Always? Some considerations t.b
Hi,
thx for your answer.
This does only partially answer my question.
Let s assume the feeding network has an element
providing S21=S12 , because it is passive, but
S11= zero , however S22 is not entirely matched,
so unzero.
Now...
Hi all,
You might all have read the chapters on antenna
transmitting and receiving reciprocity, almost always
explained via an easy dipole or horn antenna.
Most of antennas are not that easy and especially
Antenna Arrays with complex feeding networks will

hi,
U should use MACRO - WIZARD - COMPARE MULTIPLE RUNS,
but be sure - as the other user posted - that you have stored
before all runs in cache, this is an option of the solver dialog
box.
Hi Forum,
deembedding in CST MWS 2009 is an easy way of getting
the signal phase inside your structure. However, I observed
some real issues with this tool:
If you have a structure, (micro strip , waveguide, etc.) with
two ports , in and out, and try to set the reference plance
of both ports...
Hi there,
still working hard on my antenna ;) , I was wondering
HOW TO VISUALIZE THE RESULTS for a parameter sweep
with more than one parameter?
Can somebody give me a hint how plot more than
the last run?
I checked the "store in result cache" box, but do
not understand where the results...
Again guys,...
I have an issue with the CST parameter sweep:
The deembedding feature in the Port dialogue, (reference plane)
cancels the value after a parameter sweep, or better: during.
I guess that only the first run is done WITH the modified reference
plane and the subsequent are not. A...
Finally I hit on the following solution :
Copy the entire result of the parameter sweep into
a NEW FOLDER in the conventional S Parameter Result Folder
and CST will do the wrap up job automatically for you.

Hi there,
does anybody know the same issue while performing parameter sweeps:
The phase information of an S parameter is always unwrapped and the WRAP tool does not work in my case, even if the results are very close.
For sure I could write a VBA script and search for the minimum phase
etc...
cst boolean
Hello ,
I found a solution .. ;)
Actually , if you are using 2009 and adding the objects together, you may
still find the parameters within the common object, but on a deeper
level. If you change one parameter it will be updated.
I don't know why this didnt work before in my...

Hello group,
my question regards CST MWS:
What is your experience with CST when you simulate two shapes,
e.g. perpendicular microstrips (T-junction, whatever..) alone and
added together with the boolean operation "add".
For sure, you' ill have different results...
