For 1wire protocol and example code have a look at

C-code examples for PIC are harder to finde, but do some Google searches and you'll find code examples like **broken link removed**
rs232 wedge
Thx for posting these interesting links, but there's no project which implements a keyboard wedge.
I need no keyboard replacement, I need a device between keyboard and PC that is able to disconnect the keyboard in a sane state respecting the protocol, send a message received via...
rs232 keyboard wedge
I'm searching for a homebuilt project that implements an RS232 --> PS/2 keyboard wedge similar to the ones used for barcode scanners.
Do you know something like this (example project, sources (AVR, PIC, '51))?
lpc sio
Hi,
I'm currently searching for a Super-IO chip with LPC interface.
I need at least one serial and one parallel port, some GPIO would be fine.
**broken link removed** looks quite interesting, because it comes in a small 64 pin package, but it is not yet available (preview only).
Can...
Re: Alternativ WebServer
You could get one of these cheap WLAN Routers with embedded Linux (about 90EUR).
If router comes with a USB port (like Asus WL-500G(x)) for attaching an external USB drive, you can use this as a server.
There are also quite a few NAS (network attached storage) devices...
PS/2 mouse has to be connected to the PC at boot time, else it won't get detected.
Connecting/disconnecting during operation usually works, but is bad practice.
Better get USB keyboard and mouse (or a PS/2 --> USB protocol converter).
I built Peter Dannegger's Proflash some years ago.
On http://www.geocities.com/mpu51/proflash/proflash.html there is the same programmer using some different parts (switched instead of linear voltage regulators, etc.). If you build this, use the hex file from where you get the schematics as...
Re: Serial sound card
Sound via parallel port is possible (did this myself in old Atari days).
A dirt cheap solution would be to build a simple D/A converter using a couple of resistors. On the referenced page, you'll also find a Win3.1/Win95/Win98 driver. Running this with Linux should also be...
top 2004 programmer
For 200 bucks you'll hardly get a universal programmer.
I suggest Willem Eprom Programmer or enhanced Willem Eprom Programmer. There are kits available, but it's also very easy to build it up by yourself.
It supports a quite large range of devices (PIC, AVR, '51, EEPROM...
Re: Basic component samples?
Basically no problem, but normally you'll only get a few samples, so don't try to abuse this source to fill your tinkering crate.
Resistors, capacitors, etc. are dirt cheap even for hobbyists - don't waste your time.
Re: Eagle v4.11 problem
Sorry, I can't help you directly, but you should address this problem to the developers und support team of Cadsoft.
You can find them on Usenet news.cadsoft.de in eagle.support.*
