    IQ Demoualtion of upsampled data.

Hi, I am building a matlab model of a RF Transmitter. I upsample the baseband IQ data using the matlab function 'interpft", by a factor of (carrierFrequency / IQbandwidth ). And then modulate the carrier using this upsampled data. For deomdulation I first downconvert the the modulated signal...

image processing using matlab and vhdl.....

wrong forum to post in, this forum is related to Analog Circuit Design. Anyways I'd say since HDL can provide truly parrallel systems, so....speed!

OFDM parallel to serial block in transmitter

Should we not compute only the first coefficient in IFFT in OFDM? Hi, I am editing this post because I think the previous one was quite confusing....Let me put my question in a more efficient way: In OFDM Transmitter, when you do the IFFT of input samples x(0),x(1),x(2)....x(N-1), then at the...

[SOLVED] Driving a series RLC circuit with a square wave.

FvM I am not clear about your answer. What is not right? Yes i have chosen the LC values such that the 50 Ohm gets trasnformed to a 2.5ohm resistance when seen by the source at resonance. What I meant to say is that at resonance the imgainary part is canceled and we see a 2.5 ohm resisance...

[SOLVED] Driving a series RLC circuit with a square wave.

Hmm yes you are right because if we do the maths it says "almost" the same (but since this is an ideal setup it should be exact and not almost..will verify with accurate numbers tommorrow). Any way about the math... the sine voltage is across the 50 ohm load and with a peak value of 5V so a...

[SOLVED] Driving a series RLC circuit with a square wave.

I am drving a series RLC circuit (see picture) with a square wave which has the same fundamental frequency as that of the resonance frequency of the RLC circuit. I have place a 600 miliOhm (0.6 Ohm) resistance in front of the source (just for the sake of the simulation). Now across the 50 ohm...

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

Yup efficency is the main target at the moment

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

OK thanks! Wel yes I have a series RLC circuit (with R = 50 ohm) tuned to my centre frequency....so that at the output in indeal conditions I get only the fundamental frequency sine wave (2.5Ghz in this case)....so that harmonic power dissapation is minimized.

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

So the design method should be that I should transform the load resistance to some higher value as compared to the On resistance of NMOS or PMOS using impedance TRANSFORMATION and not impednace matching

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

At this moment yes I am simulating it with a fixed 50% duty cycle, but later on I will drive the inveter/ PA with a 2.5GHz PWM (where the duty cycle will not be constant)...OK any ways I have found the answer to my original question in this thread....that for switzhed mode PA you cant do an...

[SOLVED] Series RLC circuit at resonance.

I am trying to simulate a simple series RLC circuit, r= 50 ohm, l = 397nH, and C = 10fF. This should resonate at 2.5 GHz. I do a AC sweep (with a source having AC magnitude = 1) for this and plot the voltage across the resistor. Now at 2.5Ghz it shold show me a magnitude of 1 V across the...

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

Is there a difference? I mean a PWM at RF frequencies driving a Class D PA?

Impedance Matching OR Impedance Transformation for switch mode RF PA?

Hi, I am working with a simple class D RF PA targeting a centre frequency of 2.5GHz.(Bandwidth not the concern at the moment.) . So its basically an cmos-inverter driving a 50 ohm load. And I have added L and C in series in between the Load and the inverter output so that the resonance frequency...

What is the Gain of this circuit?

Is the gain of this circuit (\[{g }_{mn}\] + \[{g }_{mp}\]).(\[{r}_{on}\] || \[{r}_{op}\]) ? Where gmn and gmp are the transcoductances of nmos and pmos. ron and rop are the channel resistance of nmos and pmos

    Current Compliance or Current Starvation?

No replies :( let me change my question a bit, 1. Can some one explain what is current compliance? 2. Ref. to the figure, if I have load R, and I set Vg, such that the maximum current that can flow through the mosfet is 1mA then this mean I have provided a current compliance of 1mA to the...
