Install the USB Dongle driver correctly do this before you install the MULTI IDE itself
If you have allready installed then uninstall every thing,
Then on fresh note Install the USB Dongle driver first, then proceed to install the MULTI IDE, when prompted for license, select the USB option...
vxworks trial version
Programing for VxWorks is similar to programing for any other Os
how ever , VxWorks gives you set of system API's which helps in writting Real Time application much easier.
if you know good C and threading(Posix) then, I would say it is pretty simple to work on...

Archive of the object files generated by the compiler using you code files is your library so your code will not be known,
Disassemble is always possible
Disassemble gives you code in assembly code which wont make sense to most so what are you worried of

Because ambiguity it brings along with it's use
the flow of code becomes diffcult to understand and
it dose not care of the return address
if used carefully it is not a problem
also there are methodes where it's use can be avoided
