picmicro & ds1307
I want to interface with a DS1307(real time clock) and display the date and time on a LCD(model HD44780) with PIC16f877a. Could anyone of you show me a sample program, please.
Thanks a lot.
How to select multiple channel by using PIC microcontroller?
Everytimes, i try with more than 1 channel, the output will always jump around.
I used PICC to write the source code. Please help me.
Thank you, guys.
The following source code is 2 channels adc:
#include <pic.h>
#include "delay.c"...
Re: Ground fault
I want to isolate the ground within my fire alarm system so that the detectors ground will be isolate with the PIC ground since these detectors used 24Vdc and PIC required 5Vdc. I think ground isolation would reduce the fault within system.
Hey, guys, i want to use only 1 power supply within my circuit. Therefore,
I used 24Vdc power supply and step down with a voltage regulator into 5V for PIC microcontroller.
Do you have any idea to isolate the ground between 24Vdc supply and PIC?
I found that the ground of voltage regulator is...
Anyone of you have idea about fault detection, such as short or open circuit, ground fault ans so on. Which component can be used to with PIC16f877a to detect the fault? Please give me some advices.
Thank you.
Hi, guys
Anyone of you know how to use this component, DF005?
It is a device convert from AC to DC, am i right.
Then, could it support DC input?
This is because i saw a fire alarm control panel used this IC to connect the detectors.
Thank you!!!
Yes, i used optocoupler now.
I found that some fire alarm control panel used DF005 in their input.
How do this IC function?
It is a single phase bridge rectifier.
It can support DC input as well??? Or only AC input?
Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you so much for your responsed.
So far, i had try to use a heat detector and a smoke detector within my design. It works fine because their output were around 4.4Vdc when triggered.
These detectors using 24Vdc as their supply voltage.
Do you have any idea that detect the signal from these...
I want to design a conventional fire alarm control panel with PIC16F877A.
I want this device compatible with most of the conventional detector.
How i going to do it? How i design a system that can support different type of detectors?
Thanks a lot.
Ultrasonic problem!
When i want to transmit echo sound through ultrasonic transducer, did the ultrasonic device acts like a switch to turn ON and OFF to generate the pulse and convert to sound wave?
Thanks a lot.
555 timer
Did this device can generate frequency up to 200kHz?
Thanks!!!

C-Man
RS485
Now, i am trying to interface with the RCA cable of a depth transducer. This cable's length is more than 3 meter. Should i apply the RS485 for this device? Besides, anyone have any idea for interfacing the RCA cable?
Thanks!
Re: Interface with RCA cable
Thats really a bad news because i try to contact with navman before.
But, they refuse to answer the technical question.
Anyway, thanks for your information. ^v^
Re: Interface with RCA cable
Thanks IanP, for your quick response.
The RCA cable only consists of 2 wires; 1 for ground and another one for receiving the signal, am i right?
The transducer i used is from Navman company. It is a single frequency transom mount depth transducer.
So, i just need...
