zero crossing detector

Hello All,

I have to divide AC Signal (0 to 180 Degree) in to
40 equal parts for Making ZCD or Zero Crossing Detector

But Condition is that,All parts having Same Area?

Can any Body Suggest me how to do that?

zero cross detector

A ZCD detects the zero crossing of the sine. During 180 degrees it will only pass the zero line once.
What have the 40 equal parts to do with that?

zero crossing

Hello

I have to use only 8051 uC without any Comparator
----.
So I have make uC based Fan Regulator up to 40 Values.
Equal Values means at Every step same proportion of energy with transferred to
Source.

I think Now it will be clear to you.

Thanks in Advance.

karan123,
In your July 19 reply to snd_lover, you stated that you wanted an equal proportion of energy at every step. having the same area under the voltage curve for each segment does not provide equal energy for each segment. To provide equal energy for each segment, the calculation is more complex: You need to compute the angles that will provide equal RMS voltage values for each segment. Let me know if this is what you want.
