hello...can anyone explain me how the xilinx simulator is used for displaying fractional values in waveform???.....as the 2's complement also contains fractional values...but the simulator only shows 0 or 1.....

any hint???

Hello,
i have same problem of floatin point and fixed point translation to do data translation between Matlab and xilinx ISE simulator. I wrote matlab code to write matlab data(decimal converted into binary string) into text file and read xilinx ISE simulator result in text to read back in matlab for analysis. i also wrote testbench for this .it is working prporly. but my problem is i want to convert matlab floatin point data (double) into fixed point (binary string) for txt file and vice versa

pl. help me
