Hello again to all...need some opinions from you all...I purchased a cpld XC9572XL-10VQG64I to replace the damage one. Does it need programming or just plug & play? really appreciate any inputs....thanks
 

Hi,

It's clearly a "user programmable device" --> for sure you need to program it.
Only the manufacturer of the (defective) device knows the exact function.
Unless you bought a pre programmed CPLD from the manufacturer of the defective device .... it should be empty.

It's like buying a printer. It comes with empty pages.
