I am trying to turn the Digital I/O pins of Xbee 'low' and 'high' using AT commands.

I send the commands in the following sequence:

+++
OK
ATD05
OK
ATWR
OK
ATD0
5
ATCN

This stream should make my output pin 0 "high" but it does not happen so.

Do I need to configure them somehow?
Is it so that it is not possible by AT commands?

commands look OK
can you see any change on pin 20 if you do ATD04 then ATDO5
do you have anything connected to the D0 pin 20

Nothing connected to the pin. No chage in output.
The firmware version shows:20A7

Today I read in a manual that 27A7 firmware indicates Router/end device digital i/o

So does that mean that digital i/o change only when it is an endpoint or router and its given a remote command?
