I am a designer and not used layout or Calibre extraction tool much but is it possible to compare the DFM WPE numbers in schematic netlist with the actual WPE numbers from the dspf extraction file? Is there a tool that already can do this before we ask our CAD group to write one? The DFM default schematic WPE numbers assume a good dummied layout. If there are large difference in the WPE it can be automatically flagged highlighting where in the layout could be an issue.

Other than WPE (Well Proximity Effect - making Vt of MOSFETs dependent on their distance to the edge of the well), there are tons of other layout-dependent effects, described by many dozens of SPICE instance parameters - are you interested in checking and comparing all of them, or only WPE parameters?

Hi timof, in our last project most of the poor layout issues were shown up in stress effects such as sca, scb, scc. Sometimes a less than thorough layout review can miss lack of dummying on a very large design.
