Hello all,
I have a need to build a circuit that would send incoming USB data wirelessly to a receiver. Is it possible to accomplish?
If so, would a webcam work with it?

Thanx

No. I dont want help with making a CCTV camera into wireless.
Im talking about USB transmission via wireless media. Please stick to the topic.

Maybe everyone MISREAD the question...
Maybe your question is just too vague...

At least Easyrider83's link shows a workable solution. If it's available as retail product, you should be able to build a "circuit" with same function.

Another thing would be to describe your requirements more detailed. In my view, your "circuit" involves an USB host, the software stack to connect to a video device, a RF transceiver with sufficient throughput, the networking software stack, e.g. WLAN or Bluetooth.

If you worry about a too complex solution, if different camera interface than USB can save you some effort.

Start with a USB to UART chip

then add WiFi/bluetooth capability

Tie everything together with a micro.

If you meant the USB side is a host for the web cam then you need a USB host controller, like this

But if you're intention is to hook up a webcam to something wireless then why go to all the trouble of designing your own, when you could just buy a Wifi enabled webcam?
