Hope this is the correct place to be asking this question
Can someone guide me to where I may get magnetic sensors that are not embedded in the road and may be used to count the number of cars passing a certain point on a road as well as their speed and be able to sens such data to a database.

Not sure if you could mount magnetic sensors close enough to detect vehicles and still maintain a safety factor.

It may become a case of using an optical emitter and sensor.

To measure speed, consider putting two such pairs a known distance apart.
