pulse oximeter design

HI!

I am last year student and I am working under my diploma - Design of a Wireless Pulse Oxymetry device.
Looking for sources about this project, I've found one very interesting project, based on the MSP430 FG437 MCU application datasheet from TI:
**broken link removed**.
I ordered MSP-FET430U80 development tool, made and adapter from on-board connectors to analog components and connectors to sensor and LCD. Please take look on the photo attached. As a Bluetooth unit I planed to use smallest and simple to use LMX9838 module, available as fee samples from National.

Unfortunately, this device was born dead, all schematics are OK, but I could not find errors is supplied sample code. I think, some mistakes are taking place....

Does anybody tried this SLAA247 with MSP430 and got any good results?

Hi kreitzz,

what did you use for as your photodetector? photodiode or photoresistor

I used Nellcor type sensor with DB-9 connector, manufactured by Launch, China. It has a photodiode inside.

@kreitzz , Kindly look in the inbox here :)

I know this is an old thread but why not try.

I have a question for you kreitzz. Did you use the example code provided from TI or did you write up your own? Also, would you say the MSP-FET430U80 development tool kit was worth the cost to speed up development? I have to make one of these myself.
