Why the l(m) and w(m) are always 5e-06m in model parameter field after any simulation

Hi,

I have checked the netlist which corresponds to my design with respect to my setting on w/l of devices. But when I PRINT MODEL PARAMETER, the w and l fields are always keep unchanged, 5 um and this finding is further found in model parameter -info using Cadence result browser. 1.png. Is this w and l meaning channel width and length? why they are set so?

Regards,
Alex

W and L are device / instance parameters, not model
parameters. Maybe the model params just have some
sort of dummy values. Do params of the same name
appear anywhere explicitly in the .model statement?
If not then these nice fat round numbers are probably
a default.

Dice_freebird, you are right, if the instance parameter is set firstly, then the netlist takes w and l from instance params first. If not set, then default values, 5e-06 from model parameters list is took.

Thanks,
Alex
