I am charging 1.2V NIMH battery with 5V@500mA adaptor, but when i connect battery to adaptor the adaptor O/P voltage dips to 1.1V, WEhy???????

Re: charging circuit

The impedance of battery is very low and the adaptor is not able to source high current...anyway u have to limit current to 0.1Ah for safe charging....
