Why my PICs are failing ?

Y am losing PICs

Hi,
I am using pic on gpb and breadboard. However Ifind that after some time the PIC does not get programmed. I am using Oshon PIC programmer. However I have not used any precautions for ESD....
What may be the problem.

I am programming hundreds of PIC's, 8051and AVR's at work for prototypes and final units and must say that I had nearly no problems in that direction. Maybe one out of 5000 is failing.

I am using ESD protection while programming and handling the processors and I recomend that you do the same ...
