hi;
I have this question in my mind I hope it is not silly....
As we know that moving particles(friction) results in heat dissipation
why it is different in case of air particles?
Moving air not only doesn't generate heat but also makes it cooler
Air molecules do generate heat due to friction. This is the reason why the Space Shuttle has its underside covered by heat isolating tiles for heat protection during reentrance into the atmosphere.
