Why is PRBS used for OFDM ?

could anyone explain why PRBS is used for OFDM?

i m also doing work on OFDM...
PRBS is used to generate the pilot carriers....
do you have any simulink model for OFDM Tx or Rx.....

Randomaizaion helps in clock recovery as it avoid consequtive sequence of 1's so Usefull in OFDM....

Randomizing the input data bits of the OFDM Modulator is absolutely needed. because it randomizes the input bit sequence. it that doesn't happen, input bits may become fixed or periodic at some parts, distorting the OFDM spectrum and gaining crest factor which is not suitable.
