Dear all,

Who can tell me why the atapi interface always have a resister ,the value is 33o,what is the result if we remove it from the board?

Thanks in advaced.

Its a 'termination' resistor to try minimise reflections on the IDE cable.

Removing it is likely to create more noise and you risk failure, somewhere between occasional to complete data corruption, not what you need for data going to/from the hard disk!
