Re: Select layer in layout

hi,
what's the select layer, a tech layer or layer selected ?

Re: Select layer in layout

Hi

Select layer is used for protection. Usuall P-diffusion itself is a select layer i belive.

Re: Select layer in layout

in our diploma we used to do in this manner

P+ diffusion then surround it with P -select and then N-well thats for P transistor

similarly for N

now why we use P-Select?

thank you,
Prasad

Select layer in layout

i think select layer means active region for your N transistor, but do not have corresponding technology step.

Select layer in layout

According you said I consider that your select layer is PPLUS and NPLUS in Mask layer.
This layer is for distinguish N+ or P+ active when manufacture.
